Dear Parents, Students, Alumni & Community Members:
Wow, Semester 1 is “zooming” along. Quarter 1 will come to a conclusion on October 9th, roughly 3 weeks from today. As mentioned by the Superintendent of TUSD, Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, students will return to campus after Fall Break, Monday, October 19. TUSD leadership is working tirelessly to design a hybrid model and once those details are released to sites we will communicate them to families. The lone detail that has surfaced, students will not return at 100% capacity. School days will be designed at approximately 50 % capacity on a rotating basis and as mentioned above, details are forthcoming.
With roughly fifteen days left on the academic calendar, it is hyper critical you review your children’s grades, daily and weekly. This Quarter has not been easy for anyone but we ask that we demonstrate Warrior resiliency and finish strong academically, so we are all on solid ground upon our return. Our current schedule has designated time for students to receive extra help or support from teachers. If you feel your child requires extra support, please make sure they log in during ALT time and follow through with teacher advice.
Pueblo Athletics is off to roaring start under the guidance new, yet terrific coaches in Cheer, Volleyball, Football and Cross Country. Winter sport athletes, your season is around the corner and we would like this cohort to follow the model of fall athletes. Please register in ATS and get your physical so teams can have a full allotment of athletes the first day of practice. We are not collecting fees at this point but all other documents should be submitted to the athletics office. Last, Pueblo is organizing an Athletic Information night for parents and students who want to gain clearance to the NCAA clearing house (11th, 12th) or freshman or sophomores who feel their trajectory is one of an NCAA Division I, II or III. We will send out information through your coaches and via social media regarding the date, location and time.
Thank you all for your commitment to excellence. I wish all Pueblo families a great week and continued health.
Until next time, much love,
Mr. Frank Rosthenhausler
