Online Learning Expectations

Attending Class via Zoom

  • Follow the bell schedule, be on time, and remain in class until dismissed by the teacher.
  • Use first and last name to log in to Zoom, no nicknames.
  • Camera must be on showing a live image.
  • Dress appropriately. Students must follow dress code as it is defined by the TUSD Code of Conduct while meeting with their teachers or peers.
  • Be attentive and focused. Do not open multiple windows on your laptop. There should be no other de- vices active in the room.
  • Be respectful, do not create distractions that prevent others from learning.
  • Create a good environment for learning and working. Your background should not distract others.
  • Be mindful of ambient noise and movement. They should not distract others.
  • Students utilizing the chat function on Zoom  must use appropriate language as defined by the TUSD Code of Conduct.


Own Your Learning

  • Complete assignments with integrity and academic honesty.
  • Submit assignments on time, late work not to exceed 2 weeks.
  • Communicate, communicate, communicate.
  • Attend office hours. Make an appointment with your teacher during Asynchronous Learning Time (ALT) if you need additional support.
  • Ask questions. Be proactive and ask for help!
  • Stay on top of your classes. Be sure to read all course-related news and announcements.
  • Setup a daily routine
  • Engage in the learning by answering questions, communicating with other students and teacher, and be- ing an active participant.
