All students may participate in this program.

Benefits 

  • 4-year plan
  • Pima Community College and University of Arizona dual enrollment offerings
  • Advanced Placement (AP) offerings
  • GATE & Honors offerings
  • Culturally Relevant English & Social Studies offerings
  • Be challenged with the most rigorous course work

Spots Available 

  • Participation may be limited based on available seats.

Commitments 

  • Incoming freshmen test scores may be reviewed.
  • Commit to the prescribed 4-year plan.
  • Agree to take at least 2 dual enrollment college courses.
  • Complete the Sweet 16 AZ University requirements by the end of senior year.
  • Complete the volunteer component that officially begins sophomore year
  • Complete the Senior Volunteer or Capstone Project
  • Sign student and parent contract

Support 

  • Power Hour Study Hall available zero & 8th period - optional
  • Study Hall in freshman schedule - optional
  • Assigned counselor and administrator
  • Meet quarterly with the Academy's school counselor
  • Warrior-to-Warrior peer mentorship program for freshmen in AVID 1, 2
  • TRiO Programs:  Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound for first generation, low income students

Extracurricular 

  • 35+ School Clubs: Hiking, Biking, MEChA, MESA, National Honor Society & more.
  • Performing Arts: Mariachi, Guitar, Piano, Theatre, Folklórico & more.
  • Athletics: All major sports programs available for boys & girls
